A couple words: What is happening now in Lebanon is the expression of the unfairness of the global system where power has the final say and war machinery and industry is stronger than the will to life of the people, any people; whether it is in Philippine or in Columbia, in Somalia or in Afghanistan, in Iraq or in Palestine. A crazy world where the militarisation is a dominant doctrine preventing all reasonable way for conflict resolution. It is very sad to watch how all this willingness collapsed in front of this criminal military machinery. It is sad to learn that people are not equal, there are privileged people with the right to live in dignity and others with the destiny to be always living in war and poverty and hunger. The failure of Doha underlines my point. It is unfair to see how international law is designed to serve certain selected people while other people are deprived from their simple right to life. This chaotic situation will only increase my determination to struggle for a fairer and just global system. This can only happen by building global civil society coalitions and strengthening worldwide peoples’ movements for peace and solidarity. You can call me a humanist...
